Supermicro SC743 120mm fan wall adapter

This is a drop-in replacement for the stock 80mm fan wall. It uses the same mounting points and screws as the original. It also reuses the stock rubber gaskets and has the same footprint as the original.

Assembly Instructions

  • Original rubber gaskets can be reused in the bottom portion.  
  • Install base pieces into case first, slot the two pieces together
Base pieces slide fit overlapping.
  • Install fans into each section
  • Press fit the three main sections together

  • Slide original rubber gaskets into bottom of main assembly
  • Slot main assembly into base

  • Screw main assembly into chassis

Self-print instructions

Print with a high temperature material. Do not use PLA.

Depending on the accuracy of your printer, you may need to ream or tap the case-side holes as appropriate. They are designed to be self-tapped by screwing directly into the holes. As such they are slightly undersized.

Do not overtighten these two screws, they will strip easily.

Print face down to avoid needing any supports.
